Simply prepare the base using the standard wall base technique. NOTE: An O-Ring must be used to support each end of the tread, or dangerous rocking may occur. upon the O-Rings. NOTE: If more than one level of steps are to be used, an interlocking wall border must be used.
The height of the rise is determined by the height of the O-Rings used to support the step. For example, a four inch high O-Ring supporting a two-and-a-half inch thick step will give a six-and-a-half inch rise. A five-and-a-half inch high O-Ring supporting a two-and-a-half inch thick step will give an eight inch rise. NOTE: All O-Rings and steps must be glued together.
ADVANTAGE PETERSON: The unchallenged ability of Peterson Precast O-Rings to turn tightly makes it possible to construct spiral stairs in limited space applications.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: No matter what materials are used for stair construction, every stair case must have a functional guard rail.
